IN A NUTSHELL: This experiential workshop invites educators to explore the idea of “Individual Culture Islands” as a way to Empower vibrantly diverse classrooms. Led by the Drama Therapist Nina Garcia - a former high school teacher and Fine Arts Department Chair right here in Houston - this two-hour workshop is set to be a dynamic and engaging experience 🌟 !
Prepare to dive into Empowerment tools like the Empowerment Spectrum, differentiating between Powered & Empowered dynamics, and using Individual Culture Islands to Empower students, staff, and the school system at large. Expect lots of playful engagement with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors around individual culture, along with personal and professional examples to explore.
